The first public meeting will be held on Wednesday, November 5th at 6  pm in the Iberville Parish Council Chambers, 58050 Meriam Street, in Plaquemine.

Followed by Thursday, November 6th at 6:00 pm in City Hall, 1007 Amy St., in Henderson, and on Thursday, November 13th at 6:00 pm at Morgan City Auditorium, 728 Myrtle Street, in Morgan City.

After the public meetings, in the final steps of approval and implementation, the plan will be presented to the Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority and the state Legislature in its next regular legislative session. Water management and access projects are considered in this process developed in 2008 by Act 606, as a way to conserve, restore and enhance the resources of the Atchafalaya Basin.
