November Mineral Lease Sale announced by Board

Baton Rouge- The Louisiana Mineral and Energy Board conducted its monthly meeting and lease sale Wednesday, November 9, 2016 in the LaBelle Room of the LaSalle Office Building in Baton Rouge.

The Board collected $131,428 in bonus revenue for the state in the November lease sale. The FY 2016-17 total bonus payment amount is $696,455. At this month’s lease sale, there were two leases covering 646 acres. The leases were located in Plaquemines parish.

According to the Board, the total mineral bonus payments to the state for FY 2015-16 amounted to $5.5 million.
