January Mineral Lease Sale announced by Board

Baton Rouge -- The Louisiana Mineral and Energy Board conducted its monthly meeting and lease sale Wednesday, January 10, 2018 in the LaBelle Room of the LaSalle Office Building in Baton Rouge.

The Board collected $374,166 in bonus revenue for the January lease sale. The current FY 2017-18 total bonus payment amount is $2.7 million. At this month’s lease sale, there were eleven leases covering 1,623 acres. The leases were located in Lafourche, Plaquemines, St. Charles, and St. Mary parishes.

According to the Board, the ending FY 2016-17 amount of bonus revenue was $1.9 million.
