La. Mineral and Energy Board reports on May Lease Sale

Baton Rouge -- The Louisiana Mineral and Energy Board conducted its monthly meeting and lease sale Wednesday, May 9, 2018 in the LaBelle Room of the LaSalle Office Building in Baton Rouge.

The Board collected $225,754 in bonus revenue for the May lease sale. The current FY 2017-18 total bonus payment amount is $3.6 million. At this month’s lease sale, there were seven leases covering 759 acres. The leases were located in Allen, Beauregard, East and West Feliciana, Grant, Iberia, LaSalle, St. Mary and Terrebonne parishes.

According to the Board, the ending FY 2016-17 amount of bonus revenue was $1.9 million.
