Mineral and Energy Board announces results of July Lease Sale

Baton Rouge- The Louisiana Mineral and Energy Board conducted its monthly meeting and lease sale Wednesday, July 11, 2018 in the LaBelle Room of the LaSalle Office Building in Baton Rouge. 

With the start of the state’s Fiscal Year 2018-19, the Board collected $4.8 million in bonus revenue for the July lease sale. At this month’s lease sale, there were eleven leases covering 5,484 acres. The leases were located in Caddo, Concordia, Evangeline, East and West Baton Rouge, East and West Feliciana, Jefferson and Lafourche parishes.

The Board also reported that the total bonus payments to the state for FY 2017-18 amounted to $4.6 million.
