State Mineral and Energy Board announces results of April Lease Sale

Baton Rouge- The Louisiana Mineral and Energy Board conducted its monthly meeting and lease sale on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 in the LaBelle Room of the LaSalle Office Building in Baton Rouge. 

The Board collected $43,770 in bonus revenue for the April lease sale. The current 2018-2019 total bonus payment is approximately $13.8 million. At this month’s lease sale, there were 3 leases covering 110 acres. The leases were located in Natchitoches, Plaquemines and Red River parishes. 

The total bonus payments to the state for the previous fiscal year, 2017-2018, amounted to $4.6 million.
