State Mineral and Energy Board announces results of July Lease Sale

Baton Rouge- The Louisiana Mineral and Energy Board conducted its monthly meeting and lease sale on Wednesday, July 8, 2020 in the LaBelle Room of the LaSalle Office Building in Baton Rouge. 

The Board collected $1.5 million in bonus revenue for the July lease sale. The current 2020-2021 total bonus payment is approximately $1.52 million. At this month’s lease sale, there were 5 leases covering 3,007 acres sold. The leases were located in Bienville, Bossier, DeSoto, Natchitoches and Webster parishes. 

The total bonus payments to the state for the previous fiscal year, 2019-2020, amounted to $2.6 million.
