State Mineral and Energy Board announces results of February Lease Sale

Baton Rouge- The Louisiana Mineral and Energy Board conducted its monthly meeting and lease sale on Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2020 remotely via Zoom conference. 

The Board collected $214,921 in bonus revenue for the February lease sale. The current 2020-2021 total bonus payment is approximately $4.25 million. At this month’s lease sale, there were 4 leases covering 144 acres sold. The leases were located in Bossier, Caddo, Calcasieu, Jefferson Davis, Natchitoches and Ouachita parishes. 

The total bonus payments to the state for the previous fiscal year, 2019-2020, amounted to $2.6 million.
