State Mineral and Energy Board announces results of March Lease Sale

Baton Rouge- The Louisiana Mineral and Energy Board conducted its monthly meeting and lease sale on Wednesday, March 10, 2020 remotely via Zoom conference. 

The Board collected $92,402 in bonus revenue for the March lease sale. The current 2020-2021 total bonus payment is approximately $4.34 million. At this month’s lease sale, there were 3 leases covering 68 acres sold. The leases were located in Bienville, Bossier, Iberville and Red River parishes. 

The total bonus payments to the state for the previous fiscal year, 2019-2020, amounted to $2.6 million.
