State Mineral and Energy Board announces results of June Lease Sale

Baton Rouge- The Louisiana Mineral and Energy Board conducted its monthly meeting and lease sale on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 remotely via Zoom conference. 

The Board collected $728,314 in bonus revenue for the June lease sale. The current 2020-2021 total bonus payment is approximately $7 million. At this month’s lease sale, there were 5 leases covering 967 acres sold. The leases were located in Bienville, Bossier, Caddo and Lafourche parishes. 

The total bonus payments to the state for the previous fiscal year, 2019-2020, amounted to $2.6 million.
