State Mineral and Energy Board announces results of April Lease Sale

Baton Rouge- The Louisiana Mineral and Energy Board conducted its monthly meeting and lease sale on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 in the LaBelle Room of the LaSalle Office Building in Baton Rouge.

The Board collected $529,294 in bonus revenue for the April lease sale. The current 2021-2022 total bonus payment is approximately $2.61 million. At this month’s lease sale, there were 5 leases covering 265 acres sold. The leases were located in Caddo, and Calcasieu parishes. 

The total bonus payments to the state for the previous fiscal year, 2020-2021, amounted to $7 million.
