State Mineral and Energy Board announces results of July Lease Sale

Baton Rouge- The Louisiana Mineral and Energy Board conducted its monthly meeting and lease sale on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 in the LaBelle Room of the LaSalle Office Building in Baton Rouge.

The Board collected $703,356 in bonus revenue for the July lease sale. The current 2022-2023 total bonus payment is approximately $703,356. At this month’s lease sale, there were 12 leases covering 2,470 acres sold. The leases were located in Caddo, Jefferson, Plaquemines, Red River, St. Mary and Terrebonne parishes. 

The total bonus payments to the state for the previous fiscal year, 2021-2022, amounted to $3.67 million.
