Public Hearing Proposed Local Coastal Program for St. John the Baptist Parish Notice is hereby given that the Louisiana Department of Natural Resources, Office of Coastal Management will conduct a public hearing to receive comments on the proposed Local Coastal Management Program for St. John the Baptist Parish. State and federal program approval will authorize St. John the Baptist Parish to regulate coastal resource uses of local concern. Copies of the proposed local program will be available for review in the offices of the Louisiana Department of Natural Resources, Office of Coastal Management at 617 North Third Street, Baton Rouge, LA; the Office of the Parish President Natalie Robottom (1801 W. Airline Hwy., LaPlace, LA 70068); the Office of the Planning and Zoning Director, Alexandra Gelpi Carter and Zoning Regulatory Administrator/Floodplain Manager, Evelyn Campo (102 E. Airline Hwy., LaPlace, LA 70068); and on display at the LaPlace Main Library – 2920 Hwy. 51, LaPlace, LA 70068, and the Edgard Library – 2979 LA Hwy. 18, Edgard, LA 70049), and at the State Library at 701 N 4th St, Baton Rouge, LA 70802 .

The public hearing will be held on August 11, 2017 at 10:00 am, in the First Floor Mineral Board Hearing Room at the LaSalle Building 617 North Third Street, Baton Rouge, LA 70802, as required by Louisiana State Rules and Regulations at LAC 43:I.725.D. Interested parties are invited to submit written or oral comments during this hearing. In addition, written comments regarding the proposed local program may be submitted to the Office of Coastal Management through close of business on Thursday, 12 October 2017.
