Save the Date:

Wildlife Management Workshop, Jan 9 from 9:30 am to noon at the Port Barre Lions Club Facility. The focus is on the ecology and rearing of eastern blue birds and wood ducks. Nest boxes will be available for sale, and free Bayou Teche Paddle Trail mile signs are available for those with wood duck boxes on the Teche.

The Cajun Way, Every Saturday in January (9, 16, 23, and 30) from 10 am to 4 pm. Local artisans, musicians, and experts show off their skills with demonstrations of music, dancing, quilting, and more, every Saturday in January at Prairie Acadian Cultural Center in Jean Lafitte National Park.
Working the Wetlands, art exhibit featuring the fishing culture of southern Louisiana, Dec 5 through January 30 at LeMieux Galleries in New Orleans
Atchafalaya Basin Research and Promotion Board Meeting, Feb. 2 at 9:30 in Baton Rouge
