How to Docket an Item Requiring Advertisement for State Mineral and Energy Board Consideration

The basic procedures for docketing an item requiring advertisement for State Mineral and Energy Board consideration is set forth below.  For more information, please see the comprehensive requirements.

Basic Procedures
  1. Prepare the Docket Packet which includes the following:

    1. Instrument(s) to be advertised

    2. A check payable to the "Office of Mineral Resources" in the amount of $500.00 to cover the advertising and docketing fee.

  2. Check the official State Mineral and Energy Board Schedule (Board) and submit the Docket Packet no later than the State Lease Sale for the month immediately prior to the State Lease Sale at which the item is to appear on the Board's docket for approval via courier to "The Office of Mineral Resources, Attention: Docket and Lease Ownership Section, 617 N. Third Street, 8th Floor, Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70802" or via U.S. Mail to "The Office of Mineral Resources, Attention: Docket and Lease Ownership Section, Post Office Box 2827, Baton Rouge, Louisiana  70821-2827".
