Christmas on the Cajun Coast, Dec 1 - 31 throughout St. Mary Parish
New Year's Eve Dance with Geno Delafose, Dec 31 at 8:30 pm at Vermilionville
The Cajun Way, Jan 2 from 10 am to 4 pm. Local artisans, musicians, and experts show off their skills with demonstrations of music, dancing, quilting, and more, every Saturday in January at Prairie Acadian Cultural Center in Jean Lafitte National Park.
Atchafalaya Trace Commission Meeting, Jan 6 at 10 am at the Capitol Park Welcome Center in Baton Rouge.
Wildlife Management Workshop, Jan 9 from 9:30 am to noon at the Port Barre Lions Club Facility. The focus is on the ecology and rearing of eastern blue birds and wood ducks. Nest boxes will be available for sale, and free Bayou Teche Paddle Trail mile signs are available for those with wood duck boxes on the Teche.
