News:

HUNTING
DEER/YOUTH & HONORABLY DISCHARGED VETERANS SPECIAL SEASON: Saturday, opening day, through Sept. 30 in State Deer Areas 3, 7, 8 & 10. Also Oct. 8-14, State Deer Area 2 & Oct. 29-Nov. 4, State Deer Areas 1, 4, 5, 6 & 9.

SQUIRREL/SPECIAL YOUTH ONLY WEEKEND: Saturday-Sunday (Sept. 24-25) on Maurepas Swamp, Sherburne, Sandy Hollow, Pearl River, Bodcau, Boeuf, Clear Creek, Little River, Russel Sage, Spring Bayou & West Bay wildlife management areas.

DOVES/NORTH ZONE: Through Sunday, Sept. 25. Daily limit 15. First split closed in South Zone.

TEAL: Statewide through Sunday, Sept. 25. Daily limit 6. Also includes early season on king, clapper, sora and Virginia rails and gallinules. Check Louisiana Huntuing Regulations/2016-2017 pamphlet for complete list of limits on all migratory bird/waterfowl species.
