The energy data is organized in the same fashion as in the Department of Energy and Natural Resources, Technology Assessment Division's "Louisiana Energy Facts Annual" report. The major differences are the data here is divided into several groups instead of having all information in a single report. Each group is composed of files similar to tables in the report. The time series in these files cover longer periods than those in the report.

Data in the files may differ from previous published data. These data reflect the latest changes in the reporting variation by the data owner agencies. The Department of Energy and Natural Resources, Technology Assessment Division (DNR-TAD) is not the source for the data, but merely reports information provided to us by the owner agencies. DENR-TAD may try to fill missing data points in the time series with estimated data using parallel sources. These data points will be marked, indicating that the data point is estimated.
