Pursuant to provisions of the laws of the State of Louisiana and particularly Title 30 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1977 as amended, and provisions of Statewide Order 29-M (LAC 43:XVII, Subpart 3), notice is hereby given that the Commissioner of Conservation will conduct a public hearing at 6:00 P.M., March 8, 2017. The hearing will be held at the Courthouse Building, located at 6558 Main Street, Winnsboro, LA.
At such hearing, the Commissioner or his designated representative will give any interested person the opportunity to present testimony, facts, or oral or written comments relative to a draft permit (Order) concerning an application from Perryville Gas Storage, LLC (PGS) of 3 Riverway, Suite 1350, Houston, TX 77056-0000, to convert and operate one existing Class III Brine Extraction (Solution Mining) Well to a Class II Hydrocarbon (Natural Gas) Storage Well at the Crowville Salt Dome at its hydrocarbon storage facility in Section 11, Township 15 North, Range 08 East near Winnsboro, LA, Franklin Parish.
The proposed conversion well is identified as PGS Cavern Well No. 002. Hydrocarbon (natural gas) storage is proposed to occur initially at an approximate depth of 4,738 feet below land surface. The base of the lowermost underground source of drinking water at the specific facility location occurs at an approximate depth of 173 feet below land surface.

The application is available for inspection between 8:00 A.M. and 4:30 P.M., Monday through Friday in the Injection & Mining Division Office, Rm. 817 of the LaSalle Building, 617 North Third Street, Baton Rouge, LA. A copy of the application is also available at the Franklin Parish Library located at 705 Prairie Street, Winnsboro, LA.
