The Engineering Regulatory Division is responsible for:
- Inspecting oil and gas wells and the associated facilities to ensure compliance with LAC 43:XIX.Subpart 1 (Statewide Order No. 29-B)
- Issuing and enforcing of Compliance Orders to correct violations of LAC 43:XIX.Subpart 1 (Statewide Order No. 29-B)
- Regulating the onsite storage, treatment and disposal of Exploration & Production Wastes
- Approving Unit Survey Plats and processing Unit Termination applications
- Managing the Oilfield Site Restoration Program
- Managing the Underwater Obstruction Removal Program
