State Mineral and Energy Board announces results of April Lease Sale

Baton Rouge- The Louisiana Mineral and Energy Board conducted its monthly meeting and lease sale on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 in the LaBelle Room of the LaSalle Office Building in Baton Rouge.

The Board collected $321,378 in bonus revenue for the April lease sale. The current 2022-2023 total bonus payment is approximately $7.88 million. At this month’s lease sale, there were 11 leases covering 1,200 acres sold. The leases were located in Caddo and Plaquemines parishes. 

The total bonus payments to the state for the previous fiscal year, 2021-2022, amounted to $3.67 million.

April 2023 Lease Sale Results
