The goal of the Office of Mineral Resources is to prudently manage state-owned lands and water bottoms by managing and administering mineral and renewable energy assets in an environmentally sound manner, primarily through the production and development of oil, gas, and alternative energy resources. |

The goal of the Office of Coastal Management is to conserve, protect, manage, and enhance the coastal resources of Louisiana while encouraging multiple sustainable uses of those resources and ensuring no net loss of wetlands due to permitted activities. |
