Mineral and Energy Board brings $2.6 million in revenue from November Lease Sale

The La. Mineral and Energy Board conducted its monthly meeting and lease sale Wednesday, November 13th in the LaBelle Room of the LaSalle Office Building in Baton Rouge. The Board collected over $2.6 million in bonus revenue for the state in the November lease sale, bringing the Fiscal Year 2013-14 total collected to over $11.2 million.
At this month’s lease sale, the Board awarded 22 leases covering 6,915 acres, out of 104 nominated tracts covering more than 133,616 acres.
The Board sold leases in Calcasieu, Cameron, Lafourche, Plaquemines, St. Charles, St. Mary and Terrebonne parishes.
