Rare blue and red crawfish found in local waters

Native Waters: A Chitimacha Recollection: Louisiana Public Broadcasting's recent documentary recounting the history and cultural connection of the Chitimacha Tribe to the Atchafalaya Basin has been picked up for nationwide distribution and will become available to public broadcasting stations across the United States in April 2012.

Proposed FY2013 Atchafalaya Basin Program Plan:
The Atchafalaya Basin Program Research and Promotion Board met on Thursday, December 1, 2011 to review public comments that had been received for the Draft FY2013 Annual Basin Plan. As a result of that meeting, the Draft FY2013 Annual Basin Plan has been updated to reflect the changes which were accepted at that meeting. The revised Draft FY2013 Annual Basin Plan can be found at http://dnr.louisiana.gov/assets/OCM/ABP/2013DRAFTPLAN_DEC.pdf. The plan will be presented at the next CPRA meeting scheduled for January 18, 2012.
