Mineral and Energy Board Report on September Lease Sale

BATON ROUGE- The State Mineral and Energy Board conducted its monthly meeting and lease sale Wednesday, September 12^th in the LaBelle Room of the LaSalle Office Building in Baton Rouge. The Board collected $337,567 in bonuses in the September lease sale, bringing the new Fiscal Year ‘12-13, total collected to $5.7 million. 

At this month’s lease sale, the Board awarded four leases covering 656 acres, out of 10 nominated tracts covering more than 11,821 acres.

The Board sold leases in Bossier, Caddo, and St. Charles parishes.
