State Mineral and Energy Board announces results of August Lease Sale

Baton Rouge- The Louisiana Mineral and Energy Board conducted its monthly meeting and lease sale on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 in the LaBelle Room of the LaSalle Office Building in Baton Rouge.
The Board collected $328,800 in bonus revenue for the August lease sale. The current 2025-2026 total bonus payment is approximately $354,703. At this month’s lease sale, there were 3 leases covering 266 acres sold. The leases were located in DeSoto, Red River and Webster parishes.
The total bonus payments to the state for the previous fiscal year, 2024-2025, amounted to $7.7 million.
