April Mineral Lease Sale Announced by Board

BATON ROUGE - The La. Mineral and Energy Board conducted its monthly meeting and lease sale Wednesday, April 8th in the LaBelle Room of the LaSalle Office Building in Baton Rouge.
The Board collected $23,810. in bonus revenue for the state in the April lease sale, bringing the Fiscal Year 2014-15 total collected to $10.3 million. At this month’s lease sale, the Board awarded 3 leases covering 102 acres, out of 4 nominated tracts covering more than 2,000 acres. The leases were sold in Lafourche and Vermilion parishes.
In last fiscal year 2013-14, the board collected a total of $18.3 million in state revenue.
