Commissioner Welsh welcomes international group

The DNR Office of Conservation and Office of Mineral Resources, along with the La. Department of Economic Development held a briefing meeting to discuss the oil and gas industry with dignitaries from the countries of Australia, Democratic Republic of Congo, Panama, Philippines, and Trinidad and Tobago. The visitors were part of the International Leadership Program for U.S. Trade Policy under the U.S. Department of State.
Conservation Commissioner Jim Welsh, Assistant Secretary Monique Edwards, and DED Director of Energy Development addressed the group on February 19, 2010 in the Griffon Conference Room at DNR.
