Conservation Reports on Shut-in Status Due to Spring Flood

Spring Flood 2011

To assess the impact of the Mississippi River Flooding due to the opening of the Morganza Spillway in locations near or within the Atchafalaya River Basin, the Office of Conservation is collecting information from operators with actively producing wells. This information is based on the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Estimated Inundated Area. The map gives the latest number of shut-in oil and gas wells and production figures based on company survey.
