DNR and Corp announce more public meetings on coastal plans
A third series of public meetings, sponsored by state and federal managers of the Louisiana Coastal Area (LCA) formerly known as the Louisiana Comprehensive Coastwide Ecosystem Restoration Feasibility Study, will be held Aug. 4 -7. All meetings are scheduled for 5:30 p.m. at the following locations:
Mon., Aug. 4 - Belle Chasse Auditorium, 8398 Highway 23, Belle Chasse, LA
Tues., Aug. 5 - Larose Civic Center, 307 E. 5th Street, Larose, LA
Wed., Aug. 6 - Morgan City Municipal Auditorium, 728 Myrtle St., Morgan City, LA
Thurs., Aug. 7 - Cameron Parish Police Jury Room, 110 Smith Circle, Cameron, LA
These meetings are intended to present the public with a select group of restoration projects and the method used to determine the costs to construct and manage the projects. In October, the public will then have an opportunity to review and comment on the Draft Programmatic Environmental Impact Statement.
