DNR and LRA promoting energy efficiency in homes
“Quick Notes on Achieving Energy Efficiency, A Five-Part Series” was recently produced to promote energy conservation in the residential sector. On the state level, DNR joins the U. S. Departments of Energy and EPA in educating its citizens on the use of Energy Star programs. Particularly, the communities in Louisiana struck by the devastation of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita are encouraged to inform its citizens of better ways to rebuild in the areas of (1) Lighting and Appliances, (2) Insulation and Infiltration, (3) Water Heating, (4) Window and Doors, and (5) Solar Electric.
