DNR and LSU Center for Energy Studies Present State Energy Management Conference
The Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and Louisiana State University Center for Energy Studies will present a State Energy Management Conference on February 22, 2001. The conference "Finding Solutions to Rising Energy Costs" will focus on how commercial facilities such as schools, state agencies, and hospitals can reduce energy consumption and lower expenses.
The conference will address key issues regarding rising energy costs, energy usage, and financing energy efficiency improvements. La. State Representative Jerry Luke LeBlanc, House Committee on Appropriations chairman, will be guest speaker for the luncheon. Presenters will include national and local energy experts from governmental agencies and private industry representing Entergy, Johnson Controls, and Siemens Building Technologies.
Registration for the conference is required and seating is limited. Deadline for registration is Friday, Feb. 16, 2001.
