DNR announces Wi-Fi access in LaSalle Building headquarters
Baton Rouge, La. - DNR Chief Information Officer Rizwan Ahmed announced that beginning March 31, 2011, visitors to the state Department of Natural Resources’ LaSalle Office Building for Conservation Hearings, Mineral Board meetings, and other business will have Wi-Fi capability.
Wi-Fi allows users to connect to the Internet. During the time customers are in the building conducting business with our agency, the service will be free. “It is a free and secure service that we can now offer on the first floor, particularly for the use in our hearing rooms,” Ahmed said. Internet connection will help some visitors get their work done much faster.
The Wi-Fi service for public use will require obtaining the wireless network name, user ID and password from the meeting coordinator.
For questions about Wi-Fi usage, contact DNR Public Information Office at 225-342-8955.
