DNR Coastal Restoration Annual Project Book (2006) Available
The Louisiana Department of Natural Resources’ (DNR) Office of Coastal Restoration and Management has just published and distributed the 2006 Coastal Restoration Annual Project Reviews The 116-page report gives an overview and status of coastal efforts to protect, conserve, restore, and improve the state’s coastal wetlands. The Barrier Island Status Report is included in the report as mandated by the 2006 Regular Legislative Session. The report is subdivided into four primary sections by region and also includes information on project location, features, acreage, costs, and funding sources. DNR’s Coastal Restoration Technology section completed the report and has made it available online at dnr.louisiana.gov/crm in downloadable format.
