CompTIA, the Computer Technology Industry Association, has awarded the Department of Natural Resources (DNR), a System Integration Award for its implementation of the SONRIS/2000 Imaging component. CompTIA, an industry trade association, has over 7,500 members from the computer industry.

Accepting the prestigious award last month in Atlanta were DNR's Information Systems Director Rizwan Ahmed and IS Management Consultant Pat Derozan. Both attended the International Conference of the Association for Information and Image Management (AIIM), where special awards were presented and more than 300 worldwide imaging vendors assembled.

Ahmed said the award represents the accomplishments of all segments of DNR's Information Services, including the IMC Group, Technical Services, Applications Development, Database Administration, and Implementation Support. He said the success of SONRIS/2000 is due in large part to the collective efforts of knowledgeable staff throughout the department.

The award reads...
