DNR reports nomination of state land for leasing program for June
BATON ROUGE- The state Mineral and Energy Board has received nominations for its monthly Mineral Lease Sale to be held June 10, 2015. The deadline for receipt of nominations for the June 2015 mineral lease sale was March 23rd.
The Board’s administrative unit, the Department of Natural Resources’ Office of Mineral Resources, reported today that 35 nominations containing approximately 4,800 acres were received. The nominations covered land in the parishes of Caddo, Jackson, Lafourche, Lincoln, Ouachita, Plaquemines, St. Charles, and Union.
These are preliminary figures leading up to the preparation of the actual number of tracts and tracts acreage that will be advertised for leasing.
