DNR Secretary Scott Angelle To Testify Before U.S. House Committee
LAFAYETTE – DNR Secretary Scott Angelle will testify before the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Natural Resources at a full committee hearing in Washington, D.C. on the economic and community impacts of the deepwater permitting delays in the Gulf of Mexico. Angelle will also discuss the state’s efforts to work through the permitting process so the people of Louisiana can get back to work finding the fuel that energizes America.
“It is important that our nation’s decision makers are aware of the plight of the people and the communities of Louisiana as a result of the slow return to permitting in the deep waters of the Gulf of Mexico,” said Angelle. “I’m grateful for this opportunity to tell our story to the Committee on Natural Resources.”
