DNR Teaches Online Permit Process—February 15 and March 2
The Louisiana Department of Natural Resources (DNR), Coastal Management Division will hold additional training sessions on how to use the agency's new automated permit processing system. The department has streamlined the way applications are received, processed and approved for coastal use requests or what is known as the CUP process in the state. The new computerized system will allow an applicant or permitting agent to file an application and submit revisions on-line; track an application's progress in real-time throughout the entire permit process; and receive expedited authorizations. Coastal managers, along with the department's information technology specialists will hold training sessions for all interested participants on Wednesday, February 15, 2006 and Thursday March 2, 2006, at the DNR (LaSalle Office Building), 617 N. Third Street in Baton Rouge, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Training sessions will cover the following exchange of information:
