Edwards presides over S.U. 2009 Hall of Fame

Monique Edwards, DNR Acting Assistant Secretary of the Office of Mineral Resources recently hosted the 2009 Alumni Hall of Fame Program and Banquet of the Southern University Law Center.

Edwards and state Rep. Richard ‘Rick” Gallot were Master and Mistress of Ceremonies of the event held on April 3, 2009 at the Hilton Capitol Center in Baton Rouge.

Edwards, a 1986 Southern University Law graduate and Gallot, a 1989 graduate, recognized five new members into the Hall of Fame this year.

The mission of the Southern University Law Center is to provide sound legal educational training to a diverse student body, while maintaining its historic role of providing legal educational opportunities to under-represented racial, ethic, and economic groups.

The celebrated 2009 Inductees were attorneys S.P. Davis of Shreveport, Isaac Henderson of Houston, and Gail McKay of Baton Rouge. Also inducted were Judge Wayne Salvant of Fort Worth and Judge Zorraine Waguespack of Amite.
