February Mineral Lease Sale Results

Baton Rouge- The Louisiana Mineral and Energy Board conducted its monthly meeting and lease sale Wednesday, February 8, 2016 in the LaBelle Room of the LaSalle Office Building in Baton Rouge.
The Board collected $38,986 in bonus revenue for the state in the February lease sale. The current FY 2016-17 total bonus payment amount is $1.2 million. At this month’s lease sale, there were three leases covering 139 acres. The leases were located in Terrebonne and Webster parish.
According to the Board, the total mineral bonus payments to the state for FY 2015-16 amounted to $5.5 million.
