Monday, October 25, 2010

Coleman and State Representative Rick Gallot at the
October 21, 2010 Sparta Commission Meeting in Homer.
In recognition of T. E. “Gene” Coleman of Claiborne parish for his consummate dedication to conserving, protecting, and managing the Sparta Formation Aquifer, one of our state’s most precious natural resources. His leadership and public service to the cause of water resource management is unrivaled, having served since 2001, on the Sparta Ground Water Conservation District Commission and as Chairman of the Commission from October 2006 to 2009. He also served as a gubernatorial appointee to Louisiana’s Ground Water Resources Commission from July 2006 to September 2010. We applaud him for his selflessness, his knowledge, and his diligence in serving the people of Louisiana.
