January Mineral Lease Sale Results by Board

Baton Rouge- The Louisiana Mineral and Energy Board conducted its monthly meeting and lease sale Wednesday, January 11, 2016 in the LaBelle Room of the LaSalle Office Building in Baton Rouge.
The Board collected $48,134 in bonus revenue for the state in the January lease sale. The current FY 2016-17 total bonus payment amount is $1.1 million. At this month’s lease sale, there were two leases covering 240 acres. The leases were located in Terrebonne parish.
According to the Board, the total mineral bonus payments to the state for FY 2015-16 amounted to $5.5 million.
