July Lease Sale Results Reported by State Board

BATON ROUGE - The Louisiana Mineral and Energy Board conducted its monthly meeting and lease sale Wednesday, July 13, 2016 in the LaBelle Room of the LaSalle Office Building in Baton Rouge.
The Board collected $59,150 in bonus revenue for the state in the July lease sale. This month marks the beginning of the state’s Fiscal Year 2016-17. According to the Board, mineral bonus payments to the state in FY 2015-16 amounted to $5.5 million.
At this month’s lease sale, there were two leases covering 294 acres, with nominated tracts covering 587 acres. The leases were located in Calcasieu and Plaquemines parishes.
