July Mineral Lease Sale Results Announced

Baton Rouge- The Louisiana Mineral and Energy Board conducted its monthly meeting and lease sale Wednesday, July 12, 2017 in the LaBelle Room of the LaSalle Office Building in Baton Rouge.
With the start of the state’s Fiscal Year 2017-18, the Board collected $1.7 million in bonus revenue for the July lease sale. At this month’s lease sale, there were fourteen leases covering 7,958 acres. The leases were located in Avoyelles, Lafourche, Plaquemines, Pointe Coupee, St. Landry, Terrebonne and West Feliciana parishes.
The Board also reported that the total bonus payments to the state for FY 2016-17 amounted to $1.9 million.
