This week marks a nationwide celebration to heighten awareness of today's widespread availability of plug-in vehicles and highlight the benefits of all-electric and plug-in hybrid-electric cars, trucks, and motorcycles. They are fun to drive, are less expensive, easy to fuel, better for the environment and help to promote local jobs and the economy.  Are you considering going electric?  Learn more from owners who have successfully done so. PlugIn Louisiana is an initiative led by the La. Dept. of Natural Resources’ sponsored Louisiana Clean Fuels<http://www.louisianacleanfuels.org/>, a U.S. Department of Energy designated Clean Cities Coalition since 2000.

LCF developed the PlugIn Louisiana initiative to spur the growth of electric vehicle use and infrastructure in Louisiana.  For more information about LCF visit: www.louisianacleanfuels.org<http://louisianacleanfuels.org/index.php>.

Plugin Louisiana supports the U.S. Department of Energy Workplace Charging Challenge.<https://pluginla.wordpress.com/doe-workplace-charging-challenge/> Employers who install workplace charging for plug-in electric vehicles (PEVs) demonstrate leadership, show a willingness to adopt advanced technology, and increase consumer exposure and access to PEV charging. Workplace charging is an appealing incentive for many employees that can help attract and retain a cutting-edge workforce. In addition, workplace charging can be a valuable component of corporate sustainability efforts.

Electric vehicles are a great way to reduce emissions! EVs are a cleaner, greener, and more renewable form of transportation.  Only grid-rechargeable cars can attain the end goal of zero emissions and ensure full price stability, which makes investing in solar power even that more compelling.
