Louisiana Energy Facts Report Released
Are you looking for facts on Louisiana's oil and gas production or other such energy statistics including oil and gas pricing, drilling, and revenues?
The Louisiana Energy Facts Annual published by the state Department of Natural Resources' Technology Assessment Division contains a variety of data on the state's energy production including maps, graphs and charts which interpret the data and identify current trends.
According to DNR Energy Economist Bob Sprehe, crude oil and natural gas prices are rising and drilling activity is up. He said, "On the other hand, oil and gas production is on a decline in the state." Sprehe also pointed out that the report is a good resource for the latest tax revenue information on these related topics.
More than 700 copies of the 2003 Energy Facts Annual were mailed out this month to subscribers and state lawmakers. For more information or to request a copy, contact Manuel Lam at 225-342-8919 or Jan Janney at 225-342-1270, or send e-mail to techasmt@dnr.state.la.us.
