MESSAGE FOR BUSINESS & INDUSTRY: Hurricane Credentialing and Access Program
Energy companies and operators should be aware as this hurricane season begins June 1st, that new procedures are in place which will allow for an orderly and secure return to the workplace after a storm event. Also, all resource requests during and immediately following a storm event should be made to the local parish Emergency Operations Center (EOC). The Parish EOC will then forward requests to the State EOC if the local resources are not available or if local government cannot assist. The Commissioner of Conservation is designated as the Primary Emergency Coordinator for implementation of the DNR- Emergency Operating Procedures. The Commissioner has designated an Emergency Coordinator for Oil and Gas Infrastructure. To contact the department’s Coordinator for Oil and Gas Infrastructure, call the Office of Conservation Pipeline Division Director Brent Campbell at 225-342-5519. To read the Hurricane Credentialing and Access standard operating procedure authorized by the Louisiana State Police (LSP) and located at the LSP website: |
