Mineral and Energy Board Lease Sale for June brings $1.1 million

Baton Rouge-The La. Mineral and Energy Board conducted its monthly meeting and lease sale Wednesday, June 11th in the LaBelle Room of the LaSalle Office Building in Baton Rouge.
The Board collected $1.1 million in bonus revenue for the state in the June lease sale, bringing the Fiscal Year 2013-14 total collected to over $18.3 million. At this month’s lease sale, the Board awarded 10 leases covering 3,479 acres, out of 45 nominated tracts covering more than 51,466 acres.
The Board sold leases in Calcasieu, Cameron, Concordia, Jefferson, Plaquemines, Pointe Coupee, St. Landry, St. Mary and Terrebonne parishes.
