November Mineral Lease Sale Results Presented by Board

BATON ROUGE -- The Louisiana Mineral and Energy Board conducted its monthly meeting and lease sale Thursday, November 12th in the LaBelle Room of the LaSalle Office Building in Baton Rouge.
The Board collected $22,165 in bonus revenue for the state in the November lease sale. To date, the total collected in bonus payments for this fiscal year, FY2015-16 is $3.6 million.
At this month’s lease sale, the Board awarded 4 leases covering 126 acres, with nominated tracts covering just over 12,834 acres. The leases were located in Calcasieu, Catahoula, Concordia, and Terrebonne parishes.
In the last fiscal year, the Board collected a total of $14 million in bonus payments and over $432.9 million in royalties for the state.
