October 4th is National ENERGY STAR Change a Light Day
2006 Change a Light Campaign in Louisiana features Radio PSA Message
Consumers—Changing one light bulb in your home to an ENERGY STAR light can make a world of difference! According to the Louisiana Department of Natural Resources (DNR), consumer awareness and participation is encouraged throughout the month of October, which is Energy Awareness Month. DNR is offering online radio public service announcements for use in the 2006 Energy Star Change a Light campaign. This October 4th will mark the second annual ENERGY STAR Change a Light Day. Sponsors are the Partnership for Home Energy Efficiency, comprised of the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and the Louisiana departments of Natural Resources and Environmental Quality. PSAs are 30 seconds long, and ask people to sign the Energy Star Change a Light campaign pledge. The files are in standard MP3 format suitable for radio broadcast. The public service announcements for Louisiana can be downloaded from the DNR home page at: www.dnr.louisiana.gov. |
